The overall objective of this position is to leverage your technology experience (and tax experience, if any) to solve business problems, automate tax processes, and create and implement efficiencies within the Tax Department of the Company. Responsible for maintenance and oversight of the various technology solutions utilized by the Tax Department including leveraging data analytics from general ledger and financial consolidation tools. Key stakeholder in various Company-driven strategic technology initiatives and will serve as a liaison with internal business partners (IT, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Treasury, Financial Systems, etc). Responsible for the ongoing configuration and maintenance of direct and indirect OneSource technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Liaison. Serve as technology liaison with various internal partners for strategic initiatives. Work cross functionally with other departments to identify technology currently in use by the Company that can be leveraged by the Tax Department.

• Financial Systems Liaison. Serve as liaison for all reporting needs from financial reporting and general ledger systems ensuring reports are available, accurate, and built to tax specifications. Serve as point of contact for all reporting enhancements and redesign projects. Take a lead role in ensuring mapping of new brands to existing systems is accurate and complete for tax needs.

• Technology Lead. Identify tax technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements, automation, efficiency gains and application of tax process and technology best practices using existing technology and the implementation of new technology. Serve as project lead and/or project manager for new system implementations and upgrades for both direct and indirect tax (Bots, Alteryx, etc.).

• Operating Tax Software Maintenance: Responsible for maintenance of OneSource Indirect Tax software as it relates to Oracle data mapping, as well as documentation of same. Ensure content updates are applied correctly, troubleshoot tax calculation issues, and ensure that all systems are tested for accuracy and completeness. A working knowledge of Alteryx to maintain workflows and create new ones as needed. Assist with Oracle/OneSource testing as warranted.

• Income Tax Software Maintenance: Form a relationship with the OneSource representative to understand the available resources under the Master Services Agreement. Organize training as the need arises within the group and in accordance with the MSA.

• Ensure the Company is SOX compliant with its tax software. Maintain current quarterly testing. This includes obtaining SOC 1 and SOC 2 and Bridge letters as required. As Internal Audit expands the Tax software under the SOX controls, lead the department on all its initiatives (including MFA, SSO or other parameter enhancements as required).

• Business Advisory Services. Make recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and implement/improve automated processes. Seek opportunities to enhance opportunities using Artificial Intelligence.

• Manage the relationships with the third-party tax research software (CCH, BNA, Certifi) and update users quarterly. • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum: 5+ yrs Prior tax and/or technology experience in a large corporate environment.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

Minimum: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience ERP, financial systems experience
