The Associate Manager of Strategy serves as an advocate for the consumer to ensure customer-centricity across all marketing verticals. Utilizing data and consumer research, this person will work cross functionally to ensure implementation of consumer strategies across all marketing channels. The associate manager of strategy is a structured, analytical and strategic thinker who is comfortable analyzing data and building plans to address consumer needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, a strong sense of creativity and extreme comfort working in a cross functional team setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and summarize internal and external insights to clearly communicate a cohesive story and assist in developing strategies for consumer growth and acquisition goals. Assist Strategy Lead in developing annual and quarterly brand briefs based on cohesive story

  • Assist with on strategy for Sonic Sips and Sonic of the Future as well as other high profile strategic projects.

  • Build and maintain a monthly brand highlights report leveraging data and insights from variety of data resources and tools from the Commercial Group. 

  • Assist with testing and research needs including consumer and ad testing, tracking scores, disseminating information/trends to broader marketing team etc.

  • Act as an OKR (Objectives and Key Results) and Brand Scorecard steward and help the Brand Experience team track progress against the team’s dedicated Key Results

  • Assist with Strategy decks including FAC, Convention, etc.

Requirements:

  • 4 Year Degree Preferred in Marketing, Business Administration, Statistics, Social Science, etc.

  • MBA/Master's Preferred

  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing - This role specializes in end-to-end customer experience and is not limited to in store customer satisfaction.

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience reading and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research studies

  • Ability to apply research to address business challenge

  • Foundation of marketing and marketing fundamentals.

  • Strong business acumen

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and ability to think strategically

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong ability to summarize insights into (PowerPoint) presentations in clear and understandable calls to action

  • Proven collaboration abilities and strategic thinking

  • Works well with ambiguity

  • Self-starter with the ability to project manage and handle multiple assignments simultaneously and meet all desired deadlines

  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to listen and translate details attentively

  • Efficient at working under pressure, deadlines
