This is an exciting new position to help continue to build and lead a team of in-house buyers to activate all biddable media across Inspire Brands. You will set the vision for how biddable media will be planned and activated across Inspire Brands entire portfolio of brands. This role will lead overall hands-on-keyboard planning + activation across programmatic, search, social, and 3rd party delivery. This role will partner with various cross-functional teams: Media Strategy + Planning; Audience Planning; Insights + Analytics; CRM + Loyalty; and individual brand teams. As we move to consolidate biddable media in-house, this role will lead a team that is responsible for not only upper-funnel activation, but lower-funnel/performance media as well.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Run a Best In Class In-House Biddable Capability (50%) 

  • Run a team of over 30 FTEs to execute all biddable media, In-House - this is inclusive of planning, buying, and ad operations.  

  • Create, and oversee a training program for new grads to be integrated into the ecosystem (think Statistics and Econ majors feeding directly into the program after graduation)  

  • Partner closely with Analytics teams to create bespoke measurement solutions across all biddable channels 

  • Identify best in class partnership ecosystem for DSP, Viewability, DCO, and more. We want to be the best not only in restaurants, but the entire industry.  

 

Expand on Existing Biddable Capabilities (30%) 

  • Design and implement tests to move brand teams further towards detailed segmentation  

  • Serve as primary POC for all external digital partners (Google, Amazon, Yahoo!, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, etc 

  • Lead, and negotiate all JBPs with key partners across the biddable ecosphere  

 

Integrate with other team leads, and CMOs (20%) 

  • Help expand Inspire’s Biddable Media capes to include OTT and Local Media 

  • Partner directly with CMOs and VPs, IMC to align on KPIs and how biddable channels can drive business across the portfolio  

  • Partner with Analytics to develop learning agendas to measure the effectiveness of various tests across biddable media  

  • Partner directly with Director, Audience Planning to ensure that biddable has an appropriate representation across all levels of the segmentation  

  • With closely with VP, Media Planning and Strategy to identify more opportunities to shift legacy media (TV) into biddable channels CTV, OTT, etc 

 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:  

Required Minimum: Bachelor’s degree  

 

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:  

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in leading holistic biddable/digital media teams at either a brand, or media agency 

  • Experience of building, and training a team who hands-on-keyboard experts to deploy all biddable media 

  • Experience managing working budgets, for biddable, of at least $100MM 

  • Ability to navigate a complex organization and work cross-functionally with many stakeholders – including CMOs and Brand Presidents 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:  

  • Deep experience working with both Media Planning partners, as well as Analytics Partners to create a seamless working environment 

  • Paid social media planning/buying experience across all major platforms: Meta, TikTok, Snap, Twitter, etc 

  • Programmatic experience across various DSPs and buying platforms: DV360, Yahoo, TTD, Google Ads 

  • Strong experience with biddable Ad Operations and media trafficking  

  • Ability to negotiate with senior partners within digital space, and subsequent ability to present results CMO and Brand Presidents when needed  

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – need for storytelling ability is critical

  • Deep understanding of how to create a learning curriculum for new hires to be able to support a budget of over $100MM+  

  • Ability to work in a highly complex system, that requires an incredible balance of soft, and hard skills

  • 5x Sr. Managers, Biddable Operations 

  • Overall team of 30+
