Senior Analyst- Credit & Collections

The Senior Analyst – Credit & Collections will help ensure timely and accurate reporting and collections, and enforcement of credit policies in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities will focus on reviewing franchisee payments, posting correcting entries to properly account for deposits in transit transactions, monitoring franchisees payment performance, evaluating and managing risk and engaging stakeholders to resolve issues.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain franchisee accounts in Sales Reporting Portal (“SRP”).
- Administer and enforce credit and collections policies and procedures.
- Review and analyze accounts to determine reasons for non / slow payment and escalate potential franchisee issues in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly/quarterly analytical reviews over revenue as part of close procedures.
- Proactively contact franchisees to provide support in resolving outstanding invoices.
- Provide reporting to business management of key performance indicators, trends & underlying causes including aging of accounts and bad debt reserve.
- Review and compare bank and franchisee cash transactions in Sales Reporting Portal (“SRP”).
- Prepare periodic analysis for payment discrepancies and deposit in transit balances to facilitate resolution and accounting treatment.
- Act as point of contact to franchisees and internal stakeholders to resolve any cash issues.
- Assist with month and quarter end closing of the general ledger by preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations including Unapplied Cash balances
- Produce monthly reporting to management to assist in the wire process and other ad-hoc reporting.
- Participate in planning/testing/training for system integrations, updates, and maintenance.
- Work with Franchise Services, Legal, and FP&A teams to facilitate set-up and execution of any additional billing or credit programs involving franchisees.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as Corporate Cash, Treasury, IT, Financial Systems, etc., and provide support as required.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve processes through digitalization, centralization, or automation
- Be part of the collection effort and support analysis and reporting requests from business partners.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: 4+ yr degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum: 3 – 5 years of total experience.
- Prior accounting experience with ERP financial systems
- Preferred: Restaurant franchising or hospitality experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:
- Command of accounting principles and procedures necessary for maintaining proper company books and records to ensure accurate accounting in accordance with US GAAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively and adapt to shifting priorities to meet assigned deadlines and make sound decisions.
- Demonstrates a customer focused approach.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to coordinate / influence action from others to achieve business objectives.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud and/or system implementations or upgrades is a plus.
- A desire to work with and communicate with management and a high level of personal confidence and professionalism
- Ability to interpret and analyze data and make recommendations based on findings.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fast-growing company where adaptability is imperative.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES: Experience with Oracle or other major ERP systems.
