Manufacturing Operations Internship - Summer 2026

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The purpose of this position would be to introduce the Intern to doughnut manufacturing operations and support while assisting and supporting the Manufacturing Operations team, in particular the Manufacturing Project Manager. Focus will be given to assisting with production center openings, with attention to data collection and analysis of new equipment, processing methods, and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead analysis of new Production Centers in terms of equipment efficiency, labor planning, production, with the goal to create realistic production models and reports on new equipment efficiency.
Management of the equipment approval tracker tool and provide regular updates to team.
Management of the relationship with NDCP and Cross Functional Teams to push forward various Manufacturing related priorities related to ingredients and equipment.
Participate in CML equipment and ingredient validations.
Participate in CML Development Projects when applicable. Participate in food safety and other field related projects.
Provide coverage for other meetings.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
Required Minimum: Undergrad coursework in some applied science such as Food Science, Mechanical Engineering or a similar field, or Business Management with a focus on Manufacturing.
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or another related Engineering field, Business or Operations Management.
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Required Minimum: Some restaurant, bakery, or other food service-related work.
Preferred: Experience at a Dunkin’ restaurant and/or food manufacturing or engineering related work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES:
General knowledge of industrial food manufacturing and equipment.
Knowledge of baking or food science is a plus.
Proficient at productivity applications like Excel, Power Point, and others.
Strong team orientation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a flexible remote / office setting.
Ability to lift 50lb.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Well-organized and a self-starter
