The Director, Strategic Operations Performance & Experience drives strategic initiatives across Inspire’s company restaurants, being laser-focused on identifying and owning strategic workstreams to improve profitable topline growth. Specifically, this role will build strategic recommendations on what to execute (and not execute) across different marketing and operational levers.
Partnering with commercial functions, this individual will provide targeted support to operational business units around understanding what is driving performance and tactically how to deliver improvements, spanning across enterprise strategic and specific restaurants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operating with a GM mentality, drive focus to our operational leadership team around initiative prioritization around ensuring we sustainably hit our strategic targets (sales, profitability, growth, etc).
Deliver strategic assessments of operational performance with key recommendations on what is driving results and how to incrementally improve profitability.
Partnering with profitability and analytics functions, develop tactical recommendations for individual restaurants to drive continued performance.
Lead in delivering feedback to individual restaurants around current performance. Need to be able to deliver in an approachable manner to garner trust and respect.
Lead and manage a team delivering regular and actionable feedback.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
4-year Degree in Business Administration (or relevant discipline), or equivalent experience.
5 years of experience in consulting, multi-unit operations, or strategy & planning within the restaurant, retail, or relevant B2C industry.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES
Knowledge and understanding of the food industry, systems, and processes, and the impact it has on overall ease of operations and profitability.
Ability to lead both project work as well as routine running the business type work.
Maintains a sense of urgency to complete assignments.
Extensive experience with operations measurement tools.
Ability to lead detailed operational projects within 60 days (about 2 months) of hire.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to provide effective feedback and handle difficult conversations.
High degree of computer literacy along with highly advanced skills in the following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
OTHER:
This position is based in the Atlanta Support Center with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
This position will lead a team of 5-6 field-based, direct reports.
Up to 20% travel.
