The Director, Social and Culture is the driver directly responsible for elevating and beefing up Arby's distinct role in culture.
The Social and Culture function sits under Integrated Marketing Communications and leads a team overseeing Social Media, Cultural Immersion, Calendar Development, Influencers, and Partnerships for the Arby's brand. This strategic leader is focused on delivering disproportionate impact and visibility in the marketplace to drive eyeballs, buzz, and evermore love/relevance for Arby's and our community of fans out in the world.
This role will lead agency relationships and work closely with cross-functional experts, including Inspire's media and PR teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead development of strategic direction, social playbook, voice, resource allocation, and prioritization of cultural activity
Develop proactive calendar of activity across social, influencer, partnership, and PR in coordination with national messaging. Establish structure to react nimbly to opportunities
Lead influencer strategy and activation
Identify, explore, execute, and evolve powerful partnerships to achieve brand objectives, building authentic relationships with key audiences and consumers
Responsible for curation of agency culture roster and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships
Requirements:
Preferred 4 Year Degree
Master’s Degree
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Social Science, etc.
7+ years of experience in leading cultural activation across social, partnership, influencer, and in-market activation. Agency and client experience is relevant.
5+ years of experience in leadership role, managing people and processes
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Deeply entrenched in culture. Knowledgeable and experienced across key social channels, influencer, partnership, and PR
Passionate about big ideas with a bias for action. Risk tolerant, so long as the benefit offsets that risk.
Creative thinker and conceptual problem-solver who can unlock growth opportunities
Strong communication skills and ability to speak and write concisely and effectively, adapting messages to a range of audiences
Self-starter and entrepreneurial leader who performs in a lean, fast-paced environment
Thrives in collaborative, matrixed, and cross-functional organization with strong ability to influence
Ability to develop and mentor others
High EQ, internally and with Franchisees
