Director, Brand Experience Strategy
Apply nowAtlanta Georgia
The Director of Brand Experience Strategy plays a critical role in establishing the direction of the Jimmy John’s brand and in identifying new territories for growth. This individual will be responsible for determining opportunities, evaluating their potential impact, building business cases, and then working with cross-functional partners across brand marketing, culinary, supply chain, commercial, technology, and operations to bring the ideas to life.
Jimmy John’s has aggressive growth targets that will require out-of-the-box thinking to help achieve them. So, we need a strong critical thinker on the Marketing team who isn’t afraid to push the envelope and even have some endeavors fail in the pursuit of extraordinary success. But the thinking must be grounded in consumer data in order to give us confidence that the projects can succeed. And any projects must also be developed with an eye toward scalable commercialization that will ultimately drive profitability for our franchisees.
The individual in this role will be managing multiple projects at once, while also taking on ad hoc requests or smaller, short-term projects as well. So, the ability to prioritize, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and make judgments on the level of depth or precision needed is critical to success. The Director is also responsible for managing an Associate Manager on the team and could take on additional headcount responsibility if the scope of the role continues to grow.
The person in this role must be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from lower levels focused on execution to leadership focused on strategy. There is probably no role in the marketing organization that has interactions spanning across a larger set of teams and levels than this role. It requires a unique combination of tactical execution and strategic thinking to be successful.
