The Innovation Coordinator will be responsible for general coordination for the Culinary Innovation team through data input, logistical coordination and overall department support.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper lab conditions includes managing space and inventory of key ingredients and supplies; equipment maintenance, shipments, and assisting team members with day-to-day duties as needed

  • Support product production including ice cream tub production and building cakes for photoshoots, preparation of new products for tastings with marketing, leadership, franchisee committees and field teams.

  • Data input and documentation of instructional material, culinary specifications, process procedures, testing evaluations and other technical documents.

  • Participate in team activities, culinary innovation presentations, product reviews, social media content creation, and Support Center events

Requirements:

  • 2+ year Degree Preferred in Food Science, Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts Degree or related field; required if not meeting experience qualifications.

  • 0-2 years of experience in Culinary Research and Development

  • Ability to maintain an organized workspace and work quickly

  • Strong written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Team player, ability to work with cross-functional teams and foster effective relationships.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong computer and documentation skills.

  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Creative with an ability to be flexible and open to new ideas.

  • Culinary skills and ability to work in a commercial kitchen setting preferred.

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Frequent heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. including physical labor and performing job duties while on your feet for extended periods of time

  • Ability to work in a variety of temperatures including refrigerated spaces and freezers for an extended period 

  • Exposure to food allergens

  • Passion for ice cream!
