ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a wordsmith with a passion for crafting messages that inspire and engage? As a Copywriter at Maverick Studios, you’ll bring brand stories to life with compelling copy that resonates across platforms. From punchy taglines to longer-form narratives, you’ll help define the voice of some of the most iconic brands in the restaurant industry. If you thrive on creative challenges and love shaping ideas into impactful messages, this role is for you!


PAID SOCIAL + OWNED DIGITAL FOCUS

This role ensures copywriting support for all things paid social and owned digital, with an emphasis on owned digital for the Dunkin’ brand. Your focus will be on creating fresh, compelling content for social media, websites, apps, email campaigns, loyalty programs, and social channels—ensuring every message connects with fans and drives brand excitement. From catchy headlines to storytelling that captures the spirit of the brand, you’ll help define its digital voice and build meaningful connections online

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creative Storyteller: Develop engaging copy specifically for owned digital and social media channels. Ensure every message captures each brand’s unique voice and tone, connecting with fans and driving digital engagement.
  • Idea Generator: Concept and brainstorm with your creative teammates, using data and insights, to come up with engaging concepts and big ideas that will break through the clutter and make an impact on our customers.
  • Collaborative Partner: Work closely with designers, strategy, art directors, and other team members to develop cohesive and impactful creative solutions.
  • Brand Voice Champion: Ensure consistency in messaging across all materials, upholding brand guidelines and maintaining a strong connection with target audiences.
  • Detail-Obsessed Editor: Review and refine copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and flawless execution in every piece of work.
  • Trend Spotter: Stay ahead of industry trends and consumer insights to create copy that feels fresh, relevant, and impactful.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience writing for digital and social media with knowledge of print, and everything in between. A background with restaurant or consumer brands is a tasty bonus!

  • Grammar Guru: Typos tremble at your precision. You wield grammar and syntax like a seasoned pro.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 4 years - Bachelor’s Degree

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Graphic Design/Strategy/Art/Advertising degree combined with a promising portfolio of work, appropriate for the level of experience and opportunity one has had to date in this field.
  • Training at a portfolio school is a plus

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION

3+ years

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY

  • This role will not have decision making or approval authority. Work product will require a supervisor, manager or more senior team member with approval/decision making authority to review and approve all work.

DIRECT REPORTS

Full-time and contract

  • No positions will report to this role.
